Hua ZHENG is professor of international relations at School of International and Public Affairs, SJTU. Dr. Hua ZHENG obtained her doctor degree from Shanghai International Studies University and joined SJTU in September, 2006. She has written a book about China-US rapprochement named Summit Diplomacy: Discourse Analysis on Sino-US Leaders’ Negotiation 1969-1972 (Shanghai People Publishing House, 2008). She has been making research of discourse power in shaping public opinion and influence on foreign policies since 2010. At present, she directs two research projects: Discourse Power and Strategic Communication (funded by China Social Science Committee, 2014) and Public Diplomacy among BRICS (funded by Shanghai Education Bureau, 2013). In addition, she has published more than 20 academic articles on top China social science core index (CSSCI) journals as World Economy and Politics, World History, International Forum, International Survey, etc.
