Opening Ceremony of 2018 SIPA Global Summer School

The 2018 SIPA Global Summer Programs successfully kick off on July 13th. Over 50 students from the US, UK, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and China gather at SIPA to participate in “China’s Public Policy and City Governance”, “China’s Policy on Climate Change, Energy and Environment” as well as “China’s Politics, Diplomacy and Economic Development” summer program.
Prof. Bo PENG, Vice Dean of SIPA, hosts the opening ceremony and gives an introductory lecture on state capacity, governance and policy change in current China. In the following two weeks, dozens of distinguished professors from SIPA or outside SJTU will give lectures to students from home and abroad, helping them gain a deeper understanding of China’s policy on city governance, climate change, social welfare, etc. Meanwhile, students will also experience China’s profound cultures and latest development through various kinds of field trips and cultural activities such as dumpling DIY and calligraphy.
