Intl Students Organized Dragon Boat Activitie

On June 2, as the Dragon Boat Festival approaching, SIPA organized a dragon boat event.Nearly 20 international students and Chinese students from SIPA were in Minhang campus,tamsuiriver training, experience traditional Chinese culture. XiePeiwen, Student affairs counselor lead the team.

With the exciting discussion among the overseas students, a group of them drove from Xuhui campus to Minhang campus. On the way, Peiwen introduced the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival and the culture of dragon-boat racing to overseas students. The legend of the Dragon Boat Festival is in memory of poet Qu Yuan, during the Warring States Period.

After arriving at the tamsui river, students were eager to put on their life jackets and take the oars. After the coach gave the professional explanation, the students divided into two teams and gradually entered the dragon boat. After launching into the water, under the guidance of the coach, the students continue to practice and correct their movements and enjoy the Dragon Boat Festival.
