SPIA Celebrates Spring Festival with Global Community

Cutting window flowers, sketching sugar paintings, sending heartwarming condolences... Faculty and students of the School of International and Public Affairs at Shanghai Jiao Tong University has experienced the traditional customs of the Chinese New Year, instantly filling the air with the festive atmosphere!
Welcoming the new year with family-like warmth, bridging cultures for the future. On February 2, 2024, the Chinese New Year Tea Party of the School of International and Public Affairs at Shanghai Jiao Tong University was held in Room 108 of the newly constructed building on the Xuhui campus. Zhou Cheng (Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University), Wu Jiannan (Dean of the School of International and Public Affairs), Shen Lidan (Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of International and Public Affairs), Cheng Yin (Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of International and Public Affairs), Zhang Chuanyong and Zhang Jingru (representatives of class advisors), Zhang Xinyu (Director of the Student Affairs Office, and Zhou Bingqing (education advisor for undergraduate students), along with 20 domestic and international students who stayed on campus, share their New Year's wishes. The event was hosted by Gao Haer Nur, a freshman undergraduate student, and Aston Sang Jiang Kum, a sophomore undergraduate student of the class of 2022.
The attending students took turns to speak, recalled the warm highlights of 2023, and looked forward to the new year with anticipation. They delivered the sincerest New Year blessings in their mother tongues and dialects.
