Biography

Tian Yuan, Ph.D.  is an associate research professor at the School of International and Public Affairs, Shanghai Jiaotong University; She is currently the vice president of the China Institute of Public Welfare Development at Shanghai Jiaotong University. Yuan Tian has specialized in experimental research of behavioral science. Her main research interests include cross-sectoral cooperation, philanthropy, and corporate social responsibility. She has published in Nonprofit Voluntary Sector Quarterly,Nonprofit Management Leadership, Voluntas: International Journal of Voluntary and Nonprofit Organizations, Journal of Behavioral Public Administration,Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management and other journals. She received research grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Humanities and Social Sciences Program of the Ministry of Education of China (MOE), and participated in the major projects of the National Social Sciences Program of China (NSSP). Her teaching was awarded the second prize of the Young Teachers Teaching Competition of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of International and Public Affairs, and the third prize of the Young Teachers Teaching Competition of Shanghai Jiaotong University. Her supervised student projects won the first prize of Tang Wenzhi Cup, as well as the Outstanding Innovation Project Award of the Eighth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program for College Students in Shanghai. She is currently serving as the responsible editor of the nonprofit-focus Chinese academic journalResearch on Social Organizations in China.
