Biography:
Prof. Dr. GENG Yong, received his PhD degree from Dalhousie University of Canada in 2004, and now serving as a distinguished professor in School of International and Public Affairs, and Environment Management in Shanghai Jiao Tong University (from Oct 2014) and also an adjunct professor in Industrial Ecology in the Institute of Applied Ecology at Chinese Academy of Sciences (from Nov 2008). His main research field covers industrial ecology, environment management, climate change, carbon emission accounting and sustainable development. He has published about 170 peer-reviewed papers in international journals such as Science, Nature, Environmental Science & Technology, etc. In 2013, he received the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars from the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He is also serving in various organizations and scientific communities, such as a Leading Author in IPCC AR-5, subject editor of Journal of Cleaner Production, reviewers for many international journals, experts in UN organizations, and consultants for Chinese local governments.
