2 More ESI High Quality Research Papers from SIPA

Recently, 2 academic papers from Professor Bangcheng Liu and Dr. Xin Liang, both faculties at SIPA, SJTU, were selected by ESI (top 1%) as high-quality papers from January to May 2020. One is“Investigating the Structure and Meaning of Public Service Motivation across Populations: Developing an International Instrument and Addressing Issues of Measurement Invariance” published by Professor Bangcheng Liu in “Journal of Public Administration and Research and Theory” in 2013, and the other is "Making Incentive Policies more Effective: An Agent-based Model for Energy-efficiency Retrofit in China" published by Dr. Xin Liang in “Energy Policy” in 2019.
Professor Liu Bangcheng has long been committed to the research of strategic human resources and talent management, cross-cultural organization behavior and reform management, science & technology policy, innovation and entrepreneurship. He is good at focusing on important issues in the field of public administration and policy from the perspective of behavior. He has undertaken a number of research programs, and published more than 100 papers (his paper is cited more than 1000 times in the past five years, 3 papers have been selected into ESI), three books, and won the third prize of excellent achievements of philosophy and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, the second prize of excellent achievements of philosophy and social sciences of Shanghai, and the second prize of excellent teaching achievements of Shanghai. Professor Liu is also the vice president of Shanghai Institute of administration, the deputy editor in chief of Journal of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition), and the editorial board member of many academic journals domestic and abroad.

Dr. Liang Xin has obtained bachelor’s
degree and master’s degree in information system and doctor’s degree in
management science and engineering. She has the interdisciplinary background of
management science and information science and is familiar with the application
of modeling and Simulation in the field of management science, especially the use of simulation for policy design and optimization. She
mainly engaged in the research of environmental policy and sustainable
development, residential behavior analysis, agent-based modeling, big data and
data mining, decision support system, cooperative governance and other fields. She
has published more than ten papers in authoritative journals such as SCI and
SSCI, and in charge of a number of research projects sponsored by such as the
National Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Education’s Humanities and
Social Sciences, and the Shanghai Pujiang talent plan.
In recent years, SIPA

the cultivation of high-level scientific research achievements and outstanding
