Social Policy & Administration Subject ranked in QS top 100 for 3 years

According to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021: Social Policy & Administration, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has ranked among the top 100 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for 3 consecutive years, ranking in the top five of Chinese mainland universities, and ranking first among Chinese mainland universities in the "Average Citation Rate of Papers" for 3 consecutive years.

The QS World University Rankings 2021 are divided into five disciplinary fields covering 51 subjects. The QS Subject Rankings are based on four indicators, including the QS Global Survey of Professional Scholars and Employers, which are used to assess the institution's international reputation in various fields such as scientific research and graduate employment impact, while the research impact is assessed against the research citations per paper and the H-index citations of the relevant discipline. Among them, the indicator "average citation rate of papers" is mainly used to measure the citation data of each paper, and the research citation data of the paper comes from Scopus, the world's largest abstract database, with a time span of five years.
