SIPA held online special meeting on students' life and learning

On March 24, 2022, the School of International and Public Affairs held an online special meeting on students' life and learning during the epidemic. All members of the school's party and administrative management members, teachers, class advisors, party branch secretaries of all departments and heads of relevant offices attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Professor Zhang Xiaoyi, party secretary of the School.

Wang Peicheng, deputy secretary of the party committee, introduced the overall situation of epidemic prevention and control in Minhang campus, the current situation of Minhang students and the main problems faced at present. He suggested that teachers and class advisors should further keep caring and providing guidance in all aspects including study, life, physical and mental health and so on.

Li Zhenquan, deputy secretary of the party committee, introduced the overall situation of epidemic prevention and control in Xuhui campus, the current situation of Xuhui students and the main problems faced at present. He said that teachers and can grasp the needs and problems of students and provide solutions respectively in time via the communication group. He suggested that class teachers and tutors can serve as communication bridges to contact students and gather their needs, opinions and suggestions in all aspects and give solutions in time.

Then, vice dean Professor Fan Bo, Liu Bangcheng and Zhang Lufa, dean assistant Wei Yingjie introduced the recent development of teaching and scientific research work in combination with the key points of students' caring and welfare. The class advisors of each classes exchanged information about the students in the class respectively.

Professor Wu Jiannan, the dean of SIPA, pointed out that the current epidemic prevention and control in school have achieved milestone of expected progress, which is inseparable from every faculty members’ contributions and efforts. At present, it is necessary for all teachers and students to highly cooperate with the school's regulations about epidemic prevention and control, continue to obey the overall arrangements and keep active in online teaching and daily care. It is hoped that all teachers at SIPA will keep concentrations on the physical and mental health of students.

Finally, Professor Zhang Xiaoyi emphasized that it is a duty for all teachers to take care of students and educate them. She hoped all teachers to maintain daily communication with students and take care of them, find problems in time, help students solve problems, fight against the law epidemic together and overcome difficulties.
